The Texas Pet Sitters Association provides an annual energy-packed, multi-day event for pet professionals to discuss relevant topics enhancing day to day standards, practices and procedures. Seminars, hands-on learning, and discussions led by industry experts will equip attendees with business and operational tools to better care for the pets in their community.

The Texas Pet Sitters Conference was created in 2015 as a grass roots effort to empower all businesses of any size with the tools they need to succeed. The Texas Pet Sitters Conference isn’t just for Texans! In the past 7 years, attendees have joined us from all across the country – coast to coast & North to South!
The Texas Pet Sitters Conference for pet professionals in Texas was created by business women in the South Central Texas area who wanted to give opportunities to pet sitters who could not attend the more nationally known conferences. The “Deep in the Heart of Texas Pet Sitter Conference” continues to be affordable and jam-packed with industry professionals to speak about topics that every pet sitter can use in their daily operations.
When we first started, we hoped for Texas pet sitters, but we have been so excited to welcome pet sitters from all across the country!

Cathy Vaughan, TPSA Board President, Conference Co-Founder, Pet Sitters International Pet Sitter of the Year, and owner/operator of Cathy’s Critter Care in Schertz, Texas. She “wrote the book” on pet sitting…really! Her book, “How To Start A Homebased Pet Sitting Business” has been a pet sitters favorite since 2011.
Deanna Schaar, TPSA Board Secretary, Conference Co-Organizer, and owner of Passion Fur Paws Pet Care and Deanna’s Dog House, both in Spring Branch, Texas. Deanna left the corporate business world to build her pet care and in-home boarding businesses. She is passionate about helping pet parents find their perfect rescued dog.
Jessica Milam, TPSA Treasurer, Conference Co-Organizer and owner of Fur Services Fur Pets in Little Elm, Texas. Jessica believes education is ongoing, learning about the latest trainings and techniques is why Fur Services Fur Pets clients trust them.
From our first conference in 2016, we have had huge successes and lots of repeat attendees. We look forward to seeing all our friends, and making new ones this year, so join us for the 8th Annual Texas Pet Sitters Conference – in Lewisville, Texas.
